Eka is is a former national and regional athlete of Women’s Double. She quit competing in the national team in 2016 when she made a promise with her daughter, Shiva. Although Eka has quit participating in silat competition, her love for silat remains strong. Eka’s school of silat is called Setia Hati Terate (SHT), which originates from Central-Java. Currently, she is one of the national team and the silat students at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ).
Deslya is silat practitioner of Women’s Single. Deslya is a hard-working young woman who studies in Universitas Indonesia while managing her daily practices in the campus ground of UNJ. While born in Jakarta, her father originates from Solo. Deslya’s school of silat is Pencak Silat Angkatan Muda Rasio (PAMUR). The idea to create a story about Deslya who starts dancing and then learning silat originates from her own background in Indonesian dance.
Atiatul Muna Magfiroh
Atia participates in Women’s Group together with Ilvi and Nabila. Atia originates from Tasikmalaya, a city in South-West Java. She migrated to Jakarta to study at UNJ and to polish her skills in silat performances. Also, Atia wants to become more independent. Atia’s school of silat is Tapak Sepu. The idea to create a romance story with an open ending is influenced by her own relationship, with her on and off-screen boyfriend, Haidir.
Puput is participates in Women’s Double together with her partner Lia. Puput is originally from Central-Java and migrated to Jakarta to study English Literature in UNJ. Several days a week she also teaches elementary school kids, aside from her duties in the university and silat. Puput’s school of silat is Tapak Suci (TS).
Ilvi Annisa Zen
Ilvi participates in Women’s Group together with Atia and Nabila. Ilvi is native to Jakarta. When she was young she was already interested in self-defense, she only started practicing silat during middle school. Ilvi’s school of silat is Perisai Sakti Mataram, which originates from Yogyakarta.
Lia participates in Women’s Double together with her partner Puput. She has recently graduated from Universitas Negeri Jakarta and is pursuing a career as a trainer. Lia’s school of silat is Perisai Putih. Although this school of silat focuses on fighting without weapons, Lia is very skilled in handling weapons which can be seen during their performances.
Ikrimah Azkuri Nabillah
Although a shy person, Nabillah participates in Women’s Group together with Atia and Ilvi. She feels more confident knowing self-defense. Nabillah’s school of silat is Perisai Putih.
Dino Bima Sulistanto
Dino is a practitioner of Men’s Single. As basically the comedian of the group, Dino never failed to lighten up the mood during the long filming hours. Dino’s family originates from Central-Java but Dino was raised and born in Jakarta. His school of silat is Tapak Suci, which he also teaches several times a week to elementary school kids.
Ahmad Faisal Ripai
Faisal participates in Men’s group together with Irfan and Riko. Not shy on and off-screen, Faisal enjoyed helping out with directing during the production of the film. He originates from Sukabumi, in West-Java. His school of silat is Keluarga Pencak Silat Nusantara (KPSN).
Muhammad Jamaludin Muhtar
Jamal, nicknamed James, participates in Men’s group together with Dzaky and Efriel. Jamal recently graduated from UNJ. Native to Jakarta, Jamal’s school of silat is also Perisai Putih.
M. Irfan Maulana
Irfan participates in Men’s Group together with Faisal and Dzaky. As a watcher of Japanse Anime, Irfan ensured to make the film livelier by adding some sound effects himself. A true native to Jakarta, Irfan is from Betawi descendant. His school of silat is Merpatih Putih (MP).
Dzaky participates in Men’s Group together with Efriel and Jamal. His school of silat is Pencak Silat Angkatan Muda Rasi, which focuses greatly on art. Dzaky started practicing silat because it’s part of Indonesian heritage, which he feels that should be preserved.
Riko participates in Men’s Group together with Faisal and Irfan. Riko originates from Central-Java in a town called Tegal, however, he grew up in Jakarta. His school of silat is Perisai Putih.
Efriel Shah Bayan
Efriel participates in Men’s Group together with Jamal and Dzaky. Following his sister’s footsteps, Yulinar, who was also a national athlete of silat, Efriel also wants to excel in silat. He originates from Bogor and his school of silat is Ayu Pusaka Indonesia (API), which also originates from Bogor.
Haidir Agung Faletehan
Haidir participates in Men’s Double, together with his partner Dede, who is not a student of UNJ. Haidir is a long and close friend of Eka and also her pupil of Setia Hati Terate and the boyfriend of Atia. On Sundays, Haidir helps Eka with teaching silat to children.
